Event Description:
Join us for the 8th annual Sips, Samples and Sights tour in partnership with the Iowa Architectural Foundation. This year's tour will engage you in a critical and imaginative exploration of space production, placemaking and our relationship to the built environment. You will have a stronger understanding of how our past, present, and future are embedded in the built environment and how the regular reconfiguration of the built environment transforms the way we remember our past, think about our present and imagine our future. We are going to cover historical sites that still stand, underdeveloped and newly developed sites located South of MLK, including CREATE319 building, Harbach Lofts, the DICO superfund site, and the Gray’s Landing Project.

The event begins with a check-in at 4:50pm at 300 W MLK Jr. Pkwy, where attendees will break into small tour groups. The event will conclude with a networking reception at River Center, located at 340 SW 3rd St. Attendees can enjoys hors d'oeurves, wine/beer and network with young professionals.

This event continues to be one of YPC's signature events and has sold out each of the last 7 years. Register today, so you don't miss out!
