YPC 6-Week Fall Golf Clinic (Wednesdays)

Golf can feel like an intimidating sport to break into, but it’s also one of the most valuable skills you can develop—both personally and professionally. Whether you want to build confidence, strengthen business relationships, or take advantage of unique networking opportunities, learning golf opens doors in more ways than one.

Each one-hour session builds on the previous week, giving you the fundamentals along with a solid understanding of golf etiquette. By the end of the program, you’ll feel prepared to step onto the course with confidence. The final session includes a short round of golf, so you can put your new skills into action in a real game setting.

After each session, you’ll have the chance to network and connect over food and drinks, making this experience just as valuable for your professional and social life as it is for your golf game.

No clubs? No problem! A limited number of sets will be available to borrow, but if you have your own, please bring them along. Please contact athletics@YPCdsm.com if you need to borrow clubs.

Meet Your Instructor: 
Zach Steffen - A Des Moines native with deep roots in the golf community, Zach has dedicated his career to the game. A former multi-sport athlete, he chose to focus on golf, earning a National Championship with Indian Hills CC in 2011 before transferring to Iowa State, where he competed for three years and was named 1st Team All-Academic Big 12.

After graduating with a degree in Business Management, he turned professional, competing on various tours and earning spots in the 2015 John Deere Classic and a 2018 Korn Ferry Tour event. In 2019, he joined the PGA Program to pursue his Class A PGA Professional certification, specializing in player development and coaching.

His teaching philosophy focuses on tailoring each lesson to the individual, blending athletic movement with personalized instruction to help every golfer improve and enjoy the game.
