SUMMARY:YPC Brunch & Books Club: Atomic Habits
DESCRIPTION:**As of January 31\, this event has reached capacity for Louie's Wine Dive. Please email Peter Myers at prodevelopment@ypcDSM.com if you need to change your reservation status.**\n\n\n\nYoung Professionals Connection (YPC) is excited to announce a brand new professional development/social networking program: Brunch & Books Club. Join other YPs in Des Moines for a laid-back\, informal social event at a local brunch spot as we discuss a professional development book and how we can take the lessons learned and implement them into our lives. As James Clear states in Atomic Habits\, we are more likely to build good habits personally and professionally when we are supported by a like-minded group. Thus\, our first book club book will be Atomic Habits by James Clear. \n\n\n\nJoin YPC on Sunday\, February 9\, 2020 at 11 am at Eggs & Jam in West Des Moines for brunch & book club. You are more than welcome to join for brunch even if you have not read the book. Very casual environment! \n\n\n\nAbout Atomic Habits by James Clear\n\nNo matter your goals\, Atomic Habits offers a proven framework for getting 1% better every day. James Clear\, one of the world's leading experts on habit formation\, reveals practical strategies that will teach you exactly how to master the tiny behaviors that lead to remarkable results. \n\nIf you're having trouble changing your habits\, the problem isn't you. The problem is your system. Bad habits repeat themselves not because you don't want to change but because you have the wrong system for change. You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems. In Atomic Habits\, you'll get a plan that can take you to new heights. Atomic Habits will reshape the way you think about progress and give you the tools and techniques you need to transform your habits - whether you are a leader hoping to optimize an organization\, or an individual who wishes to lose weight\, reduce stress\, and achieve success that lasts.
