Event Description:
**As of March 14, 2020: Due to the COVID-19 national emergency and our top priority to keep the Des Moines community healthy, the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Young Professionals Connection, and Meals from the Heartland have cancelled this volunteer event. We are working diligently to reschedule the event to a later time in the year. If you have any questions please contact volunteer@ypcDSM.com Thank you and please stay healthy!!**
Join us for our 5th Annual YPC Volunteers with Meals from the Heartland. Last year, 23,112,864 meals were provided to the hungry in Iowa and across the world. Not only does this non-profit empower volunteers and Young Professionals, they truly make an impact in our community for the greater good.
A brief introduction will be held at 6pm about their mission, vision, and values. They will also explain to us how to pack their meals. We have a max of 22 volunteers for this event which would give us three groups. Following meal packing and completely optional, we will head over to The Hall DSM for more networking.
