Join YPC and the Des Moines Metro Opera for a short preview of Mozart’s The Magic Flute, followed by a special behind the scenes look at the production before it premieres to Des Moines audiences on Saturday, March 5th!
This imaginative and innovative interpretation of Mozart’s most famous opera puts the singers in front of a huge screen, interacting in real time with animations projected all around them, creating the impression that gigantic comics, cartoons, and folk art are coming to life right before your eyes!
Food and drink will be provided at the preview and members will be able to network and learn more about this spectacular production.

Masks required when not actively eating or drinking. Attendees will need to bring a photo ID and either a record of vaccination or record of a negative COVID test taken within 48 hours of the event, per the Civic Center’s health policies. Those will be shown at the door. Attendees are instructed to enter the Civic Center through the Ticket Office doors on the southwest side of the building.
