Come join YPC for a discussion with Dani Ausen and Cat Rocketship of Market Day Iowa on Wednesday, April 10th from 6 to 7 pm at the Community Room of the Crane Artist Lofts. Market Day Iowa is a curated pop-up market specializing in arts and crafts from artists and collectors in the Midwest, including Des Moines, Iowa City, Minneapolis, Chicago, Omaha, Kansas City, and beyond. The next Market Day pop-up will be the Spring Craft Show on Saturday, May 11th in the Atrium at Capital Square. Before the next pop-up, come listen to Dani and Cat talk about the journey of creating Market Day, how Market Day built an audience for its artists and vendors, and what Market Day represents for local artists and crafters.
Founded in 2009, Market Day has seen exponential growth year after year, including an official sponsorship with the Des Moines Register, and is best known for its annual Black Friday pop-up market. Market Day prides itself as an inclusive space where makers can meet other makers and build community with each other and Des Moines.
