Come join YPC for a conversation on Wednesday, August 14 from 6 to 7 at the Des Moines Community Playhouse with West Des Moines's City Councilwoman Renee Hardman to talk about how her journey towards becoming West Des Moines first African-American city councilwoman.
About Renee Hardman
Renee Hardman is the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa, and the owner of her own consulting firm, Hardman Consulting LLC. She is the first African-American councilwoman to serve on the West Des Moines City Council, and has served extensively on community boards and committees, including Des Moines University, Ray Center, Chrysalis Foundation, and Dress for Success, among others. She has also won countless community awards for her work, including being a 2014 inductee into the Iowa Women's Hall of Fame.
