You may have heard or read that Des Moines is considering launching an e-scooter program in 2020. This program is still in the planning stages, and the decision makers want to hear from you!
Join YPC, DART, and the Des Moines Street Collective for an e-scooter "focus group" where YPC members can share their thoughts about how to best implement an e-scooter program in Downtown Des Moines. Luis Montoya, DART's Planning and Development Manager, will provide a brief overview of where the city and its partners are in the process of developing an e-scooter program. This will be followed by an informal Q&A session conducted by Luis and Mike Armstrong, Director of Planning and Communications for the Street Collective.
This is a great opportunity for YPC members to have their voice heard and impact the design of a program that is still in its planning stages! Pre-registration for this event is encouraged but not required.
