Join YPC at the Krause Gateway Center on Thursday, April 23 for an overview of USL Pro Iowa and the movement to bring a United Soccer League (USL) Championship soccer franchise to Des Moines! USL has granted USL Pro Iowa approval to purchase a franchise in the USL Championship league, which is the second level of American pro soccer, just below MLS. Other cities with USL Championship franchises include Austin, Indianapolis, Memphis, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Sacramento, and Charlotte.
Kyle Davy from USL Pro Iowa will present about the status of the USL Pro Iowa initiative and the status of the Krause Group's efforts to build a professional soccer stadium in Downtown Des Moines, with discussion/networking to follow. Beer/wine and light snacks will be available.
