Beth Shelton is the Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa, overseeing all operations for 13,500 members. Shelton has an extensive experience in organizational change, sales and recruitment, cause-marketing, advocacy and public speaking. As CEO she spearheaded a cultural transformation that has led Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa being named a Best Workplace in Iowa in 2018. In her role she serves on the Girl Scouts of the USA Cookie Steering Council, shaping national strategy for the nearly billion dollar Girl Scout cookie fundraiser program. Shelton graduated from Simpson College, earned her MBA from Drake University, and she is certified in Artificial Intelligence from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Accolades include: 2018 Alumni Achievement award from Simpson College; 2019 Young Alumni Achievement Award from Drake University; 2017 People to Watch by The Des Moines Register; honored as a "40 under 40" by the Des Moines Business Record; and highlighted in the Women Who Mean Business showcase by DSM Magazine. As an amputee Shelton also serves on the board for the Iowa Amputee Golf Association, raising awareness and funds for families impacted by trauma and limb loss.
