YPC’s Masterclass Series features business leaders from across greater Des Moines to share their stories of how they got to where they are today and advice for young professionals. Come to listen, ask questions, and take some of the lessons learned back to your own career! This event will be a 25 minute interactive Q&A followed by time to network, explore the shop, and purchase treats if desired.
In August 2022, Sammy Mila made her vision—of opening Des Moines’ first Asian-inspired bakery - a reality. Prior to taking over ownership of Crème, she was a culinary specialist/food stylist for 11 years, working with brands such as Better Homes and Gardens, Food & Wine, AllRecipes, EatingWell and more. Sammy grew up in a culture where desserts were always deemed “too sweet” and saw the need for lighter, fresher, and more flavorful desserts in the city. Sammy will be sharing her story including her passions, the challenges she’s faced moving from corporate America to business ownership, her successes, and her advice for young professionals.
Recommended Dress: Casual
