Join Young Professionals Connection (YPC) and the Ivy College of Business MBA Program for a workshop on Forming & Managing Effective Teams by Dr. James K. Summers on Wednesday, February 13 at 6 pm. 

Dr. James K. Summers is the Max J. Wortman, Jr. Professor of Management at the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University. He earned his Ph.D. at Florida State University in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management. At Iowa State, Dr. Summers teaches courses on leadership, negotiation, organizational behavior, and human resource management to undergraduate, MBA, and PhD students. Dr. Summers' research on team structure, nature of work relationships, and executive work design have all been published in numerous academic journals.
Dr. Summers' workshop on Forming & Managing Effective Teams will focus on barriers and breakthroughs to teamwork. The ability to work together effectively while leveraging individual knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAO) is paramount for unit and organization success. The workshop will highlight common dysfunctions that teams and individuals fall victim to as well as suggestions to overcome those dysfunctions.
