Event Description:
Join social media professionals Derek and Erin for a hands-on workshop on how to leverage LinkedIn as a young professional. They'll go through tips and tricks on how to optimize your profile, best practices when connecting and engaging with others, and how to use the platform to find and attain new jobs. As an added bonus, new headshots will be taken for anyone interested. Please bring a computer/tablet and have a LinkedIn account created (doesn't have to be completely filled out) to participate in the hands-on portion.
Erin Fry holds an undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and a Master's degree from University of Missouri (Mizzou). 
Erin is a Social Media Specialist at Two Rivers Marketing where she works with a wide range of clients, executing social media campaigns, maintaining social profiles, and reporting on our marketing efforts across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. She has also partnered with Derek and other coworkers to help lead LinkedIn training for individuals in various professions. Personally, Erin uses LinkedIn to share content she's created, is most interested in, and to connect with peers and clients.

Derek is currently a Social Media Coordinator, working on the back end of social media to route content through the approval process and schedules posts throughout the month. He also monitors client social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Derek works in-platform on LinkedIn every day at work, has helped lead LinkedIn training sessions for clients at the agency, and even landed his job at Two Rivers after networking on the platform.
