Event Description:
Join Capital Crossroads and YPC at DART Central Station for a sneak peek at how the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority is working to keep our communities connected. Learn how elected officials and DART leaders are reimagining regional transportation in DSMUSA and what it means for you.

6-7pm – Transit Planning Exercise
*Think you know where the bus should go? Join DART and Jarret Walker & Associates (JWA) for a round of “transit planning 101” where you get to draw the lines on the map and decide where you think the bus should go and why. JWA is a Portland-based transit consulting firm with a global body of work, having designed transit networks from Dallas to Dublin, with Des Moines soon to join the list. Space is limited – RSVP today and learn more about the once-in-a-generation efforts to Reimagine DART!
This is a free event, however registration is required as there is an attendance cap.
Following the event, there will be an optional happy hour. We'll travel together by bus, giving everyone a chance to experience the transit system firsthand.
