Join us on August 10th from 6 to 7 at the Krause Gateway Center to learn and provide feedback on the new USL Pro Soccer Team. This event is in partnership with Capital Crossroads and the Emerging Leaders Collaborative. Capital Crossroads is an organization that manages the vision and success for Central Iowa that helps us to think big, not settle for good enough, think long-term, and work together.
USL Pro Iowa is Des Moines's newest professional sports team to coincide with the construction of a new soccer stadium, the Pro Iowa Stadium and Global Plaza on the southwest corner of downtown Des Moines at the former Dico site in the 200 block of SW 16th Street. USL CEO Alex Papadakis says that "the new Pro Iowa Stadium will be a crown jewel not just for the US, but for soccer in the United States." Over drinks, the Pro Iowa Stadium folks want to present to and hear from you about what the community is looking for.
The Emerging Leaders Collaborative is an initiative of the Social Capital of Capital Crossroads. This is an effort to link Central Iowa's over 40 young professional programs in a network for collaboration and cross-pollination of ideas and activities.
