Event Description:

The Principal Charity Classic is an annual PGA TOUR Champions event in Des Moines, Iowa. The tournament’s mission? Helping Iowa kids succeed! Since 2007, the Principal Charity Classic has raised more than $23 million (and counting) for Iowa children’s charities.

Join us Saturday, June 5th at beautiful Wakonda Club in Des Moines. YPC will be marshaling hole 13! What does that actually entail? As marshals we will ensure players are not disturbed during play, spot balls, assist with starting tents when necessary and enforce crowd control and golf etiquette among spectators.

As a volunteer, you will receive:

  • Official volunteer uniform: a Cutter & Buck golf shirt, a hat or visor, and a Principal Charity Classic lanyard

  • Free admission to the tournament - your credential will serve as your ticket

  • complimentary food, snacks, and beverages on the day you volunteer

  • Free parking and shuttle service provided at Southridge Mall

  • Invitation to the annual Volunteer Appreciation Party

  • Eligible for prizes drawn randomly throughout tournament week

​The Principal Charity Classic asks that all volunteers purchase the 2021 Volunteer Perks Package (listed above) for $50. Full refunds available in the event the tournament is restricted or canceled.
