Event Description:
Let's keep Des Moines beautiful! Join YPC in a collaboration with the City of Des Moines Parks and Recreation to "Cache In Trash Out" on Saturday, April 20. 
This year's theme for Earth Day Trash Bash activities is "Think Downstream" as the City of Des Moines encourages residents to think about their impact on our rivers/waterways. Whether it is sediments, nutrients, or plastics or other items in our water, we will work together to improve our water quality!
YPC members will meet at Pal Joey's at 9 am on Saturday, April 20 where the City of Des Moines Parks and Recreation will supply us with garbage bags, gloves, and grabbers to pick up trash along the trails and banks of the waterways. We recommend wearing old clothes and tennis shoes. Bring a water bottle, hat, and sunscreen as Iowa's weather is unpredictable...in case of inclement weather, communication will be relayed via email from volunteer@ypcDSM.com Donuts & Coffee will be provided in the morning!
