The Des Moines Gala Committee is securing volunteers for the 33rd Annual Des Moines Gala: Sneakers & Sparkles. This event supports the mission of creating life-changing wishes for Iowa children with critical illnesses. Since Make-A-Wish Iowa’s inception, events like the Des Moines Gala have helped fund and grant more than 4,900 Iowa wishes.
Today, there are over 300 Iowa children waiting for their wish to be granted, 53 are located right here in Polk County. We need your support to make these wishes come true.
Event Information:
Saturday, May 9th at the Iowa Events Center
Volunteers are welcome to arrive anytime after 5:30pm (when doors open to all guests and cocktail hour begins) Volunteers will meet at 7:00pm for a run through of the night, before assisting with auction, afterparty and tear down.
Volunteers receive entry to event including dinner and a parking pass. Volunteer spots will be filled on a first come basis.
Event Schedule:
5:30 – 7pm Cocktail Hour.
7:00pm Program & Dinner followed by live auction.
9:00 pm After party and Tear down.
11:00 After party ends and final move out.
