Event Description:

Come share your warm heart and gift of time, and become a Winter Warrior!

 

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home.  Throughout the winter months, Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity continues to build homes. Join fellow volunteer warriors in new home construction or repair projects and support a great cause: a world where everyone has a decent place to call home.

 

YPC members will be volunteering with Habitat for Humanity alongside members of Habitat Young Professionals (HYP).

As a thank you for volunteering in the winter (especially on a Saturday morning), every volunteer will receive an exclusive Winter Warrior scarf. 

 

Don’t worry, projects will be indoors and heated.  IF there happens to be decent weather though, there could be some outdoor work. 

 

Optional: Afterwards, we will head somewhere nearby for lunch.  It will be a great opportunity to get to know other YPC members, as well as HYP members!

Location:
We will know the house’s exact address closer to the event and will send the information to everyone who registers.
