Event Description:
YPC is hosting a Crazy-8 Pickleball Tournament! No partner is needed!
This unique tournament format doesn't require you to have a partner, making it the perfect opportunity to meet new people, engage in friendly competition, and possibly discover your new pickleball ally!
The Des Moines Pickleball Club will be there to start the day off with a quick lesson, so everyone is ready to go!
The event follows a round-robin format, ensuring you compete against players of similar skill levels. You are guaranteed 7 games! (Don't worry, there is rest time between games).
Thanks to Fareway, snacks and some beverages will be provided!
Make sure to bring your own paddle and a water bottle! If you are interested in playing, but don't have a paddle- please email athletics@ypcdsm.com

Levels of play:
- Novice Level: Ideal for newcomers to pickleball. If you're unsure about the rules or eager to learn the basics, this level will provide you with the fundamentals. (2.0-2.5 rating)
- Beginner Level: You've learned the rules and scoring and can start having short rallies. You're able to pick up the pace of play and are starting to understand pickleball strategies. (2.5-3.0 rating)
- Intermediate Level: This level is for players who have improved their skills and are prepared for more challenging games. These players understand strategies and court positioning. They are able to sustain rallies and are becoming more consistent with their shots. (3.0-3.5 rating)
